According to global life insurer Manulife Philippines’ 2020 study, “Understanding Filipino Sentiments Toward Health and Critical Illness,” COVID-19 has encouraged many Filipinos to take their health more seriously by finding ways to achieve and sustain better physical and mental wellness.

To help Filipinos reach their life and health goals, Manulife Philippines will hold a webinar titled, “Health Matters: Caring for your mental and physical well-being,” featuring Dr. Vicki Belo, Founder and Medical Director of BELO Medical Group and celebrity health advocate Julia Barretto, on June 16, 3:30 pm, via Zoom.

Dr. Ed Tolentino, Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry and Mental Health of the Quirino Memorial Medical Center; and Rose Montenegro, former President and CEO of Makati Medical Center are also guest speakers. Celebrity Luis Manzano will host the event.

“We have seen how Filipinos’ views on health continue to evolve, and now include achieving more holistic growth and well-being. This webinar aims to help Filipinos learn from experts on self-care and beauty, as well as mental health, so they can more confidently take charge of their health and wellness,” said Melissa Henson, Chief Marketing Officer of Manulife Philippines. “Our 2020 study also revealed that many Filipinos now realize the importance of financial preparedness in the event of critical illness. Through our upcoming “Health Matters” webinar, we hope that we can share insights on how having the right insurance plan can help ease your worries about the future, allowing you to live your best life today.”

“Health Matters” is the latest in Manulife’s health and wellness-themed webinar series, which aims to provide insights into the most important concerns among Filipinos and help them navigate the realities brought by the pandemic.
