Online show host Izel Abanilla constantly set her mood, aura and feelings at healthy levels for her interviews to give viewers good vibes

By Wilbur Wilbur
Correspondent

Now that we are all in these times of fear, uncertainty and even reluctance over physically close with one another, we must also never run out of ways to either remain optimistic and hopeful, or simply maintain a sound mind and healthy outlook, add there the care we must do for ourselves and other people to help our and other people's health.

Online host and celebrity interviewer Izel Abanilla simply has this happy and healthy attitude when at work ----be on air, at premiere events, and media launches for her coverage.

Still young at 28, the UST Journalism major never thinks of herself to be better than anyone else. "It is better to feel always happy and see the job to be fun and enjoyable po, kase malamang na malamang may magandanf results eh. Ganon lamg talaga ako when we host Showbiz Live.

With the wonderful roster of stars she has already guested on the digital platform, Izel can swank sort of credentials her episodes are. From Ian Veneracion, Nathalie Hart to Ina Raymundo to yes, Yorme Isko Moreno. But the attractive host prefersvto move along and humbly says "there are so many other big stars pa na I want to guest. Effort lang with healthy mindset and positively hoping to successfully tap them".

In the case of herself being a digital host with an already increasing number of followers and likers, Izel slowly develops her owns style of interviewing to make the show and her unique in a way. "Id like to say my hosting style is very casual. I make my guests feel comfortable with me, I make them feel at home. I always see to it that I do not intimidate them so they can feel like they are conversing with a friend". But while she listens to their answers Izel never forgets her main points for interviews. "First off, I get to their personality. So I can adjust whether my way of talking as well as my line of questions follow through well. Second is the latest going-on in a certain celebrity's life. And third what I feel is what the people need/want to know about the subject na puro positive dapat kase dapat inspiration sila sa mga manonood sa online eh".

This brings us to why Izel is now gradually having a recall. Her healthy happy attitude is becoming her strength. "Basically po kase, it's the relaxed feel of the interview but still a no-holds-barred flow of questioning. We make sure people get what they want. While I make sure masaya at positive ang interview.

Like three other digital interviewers this correspondent knows...Rocky, Ted, Alexa and Josephine as they are known in the Blog universe, Izel is likewise this gem who we should always anticipate and watch online. 03/31/2020 (The Lifestyle Portal)

Why director Jerry Lopez-Sineneng Sees Love Thy Woman Enhances Our Self-Care at Times Like These

By: Wilbur Hernandez
Correspondent

Noted for its fast-paced yet immediatley well-established characters in story-telling, puwdeng-puwede natin ma-validate why the currently hit afternoon-serye Love Thy Woman fast became a household name. In this season when the pandemic outbreak cautions our actions, the reasons are many!

It is a given that the serye has a casting coup. There is the undisputed Drama King Christopher de Leon, teleserye royalty Eula Valdez, to the screen pair of Kim Chiu and Xian Lim, add the juicy performances of Yam Concepcion and Sunshine Cruz. Love Thy Woman tells viewers who we are amd where we need to place ourselves when particular crisis usher us to our own self care.

At these times when we are prioritizing love for family and our well-being "Love Thy Woman is a story na timely. Napapanahon kase it's a story of love na pinagdaanan ng dalawang generasyon ng pamilya, love na "pinagdaanan" quote and quote," says director Jerry Lopez-Sineneng. "So love for family and love for your own well-being, ikaw bilang tao makikita mo ang kailangan mong gawin".

Another reason is timely. While we are all summoned by laws to keep ourselves safe, focus on priorities and make us think, even redefine the directions of our lifestyles, Love Thy Woman tells us how to protect ourselves when something threatening is to come or to outbreak. "Sa dami ng aabangan nating mga nakaka gulat na pangyayari, twists sa storya, the teleserye also tells us to look into our inner selves; from characters' dialogues, ano mga needs natin, ano yung mga iset aside muna, ano priorities muna," observes Direct Jerry.

Also while every scene that unfolds, Love Thy Woman also keeps us grounded. Being glued to the hit-serye and then being fed with updates from media during commercial gaps, we viewers will be prodded to prefer the confines of our homes, savour the company and bond of our loved ones. Quite a number of viewers had said when we speak with them as this is being written, "maganda po talaga yung storya kase andoon pa rin yung love for family kahit dami pong conflicts".

Conflicts. Indeed inevitable in life pero we can always avoid them if we know how to be safe physically, mentally and emotionally. Here is where we can say love thy family the way you also love the inspiring teleserye. 03/24/2020 (The Lifestyle Portal)

The SM Supermalls announced it will waive rentals to all tenants nationwide from March 16 to April 14, 2020. This is to offer tenants some relief during this trying time, so that they can in turn lend more assistance to their employees during the period of Community Quarantine.

“We share our tenants partners’ concerns at the unfortunate situation and will waive rental charges for those affected and unable to operate during this period,” said SM Supermalls president Steven T. Tan.

This support forms part of SM’s commitment to fight the effects of the COVID-19 outbreak, in addition to its recent announcement that it has allocated PhP100M to provide protective equipment and supplies towards hospitals for the safety of medical front liners, as they actively fight the spread of COVID-19.

Vacuuming is a great way to keep a home clean. It’s actually quicker and more thorough to use a vacuum cleaner to suck up dirt and debris. It can also remove allergens, pet hair, and more from your floors, curtains, and furniture.

So whether you have hard surface floors or carpeting, a vacuum cleaner can do so much more than a broom and mop.

Vacuum cleaners come many forms, with different uses and features. From upright vacuum cleaners to handheld canister vacuums to automatic robotic units, there’s sure to be a vacuum cleaner perfect for your needs.

For an affordable, versatile vacuum cleaner that is dependable and effective, I recommend the Union Canister Vacuum Cleaner. It really excels at sucking embedded pet hair and dust particles.

With a 2.5L capacity and handle airsuction control, it can tackle many different surfaces very well. The included brush is perfect for bare floors that are prone to scratching.

If you’re in the market for your very first vacuum cleaner, check out the Union Vacuum Cleaner available on Shopee. 03/21/2020 (The Lifestyle Portal)

More than 140,000 new cancer cases and more than 80,000 cancer deaths are recorded in the Philippines every year, according to the 2018 Global Data on Cancer.

In light of these alarming numbers, AXA Philippines, one of the country’s leading insurance providers, is working with the Philippine Cancer Society (PCS) to increase cancer awareness and preparedness among Filipinos.

The partnership supports Republic Act (R.A.) 11215, National Integrated Cancer Control Act (NICCA), which aims to prevent cancer and improve cancer survivorship by increasing investments for programs to fight the ailment.

AXA president and chief executive officer Rahul Hora said, “At AXA, we want to help people live healthy lives and know that a better life is within their reach. We believe education is still the best approach to prevention. We are grateful to the Philippine Cancer Society for giving us the opportunity to be part of this program.”

PCS executive director Dr. Rachael Rosario pointed out, “The incidence of cancer in the country is growing at an alarming rate. It is important to educate everyone, most especially young people, that a healthy lifestyle is critical to cancer prevention. We need all the help we can get and we are thankful to have found a partner in AXA.”

Under the program, AXA Philippines will hold various initiatives that support cancer prevention by stressing the importance of a healthy lifestyle. Foremost of these is a heath campaign in schools to raise anti-tobacco awareness, plus lectures on obesity and the ill effects of sugar, and a fun poster-making contest for students. Free cervical cancer screening and clinical breast examination by PCS health care providers will be offered to adults in the schools.

Aside from the partnership with PCS, AXA also seeks to create awareness of and promote protection from this deadly disease through insurance products that offer coverage for critical illnesses.  The Health Start insurance product, for example, offers protection from life-threatening illnesses, including cancer, stroke and heart attack, at an affordable price.

For more information on Health Start and other products, talk to an AXA Financial Partner or visit www.axa.com.ph/healthstart. 03/18/2020 (The Lifestyle Portal)

The five videos, which featured people from different backgrounds showing how they can keep their heart healthy through one-minute exercises, were recently honored as one of the best PR tools at the recent Anvil Awards of the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP).

According to PHA Past President Dr. Nannette Rey, “Fit Heart Minute is all about jumpstart-ing and maintaining your healthy lifestyle goals. Anyone can do it at whatever fitness level. Young, old, fat, thin, obese, underweight, strong, frail. Do your Fit Heart Minute and slowly work your way to a healthier you. It is never too late to start.”

The other videos featured Dr. Rey and fitness coach and TV host Jim Saret showing various forms of exercises targeting different types of people. It included the Youth Enhancer Exer-cise for senior citizens and a Doc Exercise for medical professionals.

Luxury real estate brand Filigree is expanding its portfolio of masterfully crafted, upscale living spaces with more prestigious, high-value developments this year.

Filigree projects have all been remarkably successful. Thanks to its commitment of continuously providing luxurious spaces that are exemplars of sophistication, comfort, convenience, and leisure expected by the discriminating few.

"Ever since the establishment of Filigree, we have always pushed ourselves to be the gold standard in luxury real-estate developments," says Catherine Ilagan, Filigree head. "For this year, we have plans that will strengthen the brand with unmatched value of our projects."

Bristol at Parkway Place

So far, all of Filigree's projects have been well-received by the market such as the The Enclave Alabang. The 13-hectare tropical modern subdivision on Daang Hari is home to a world class Club House and Central Park.

Bristol at Parkway Place is another instant fast-seller due to its highly coveted address at Filinvest City’s Millionaires’ Row. It is one of the most in-demand high-end properties in Metro South because of its location, amenities, and great investment opportunities. Ready for occupancy, its leasing rate is on a constant upswing. Units in this 40-storey tower are almost sold out and plans are now underway for another high rise residential development also along the Millionaire’s Row.

Filigree became a front-runner in green condo living with Botanika Nature Residences. This lush and green development proves that modern and upscale living can be environmentally sustainable. The development received a 4-star rating from the Building for Ecologically Responsive Design Excellence (BERDE), and it continues to redefine present-day low-density vertical homes in the metropolis.

The Enclave Alabang Clubhouse
With the favorable reception of the first tower, Filigree will soon launch Botanika Tower 2, which will offer one-bedroom units that were not available in the first. A sky lounge and function room are also included in the plan, and like the first tower, the new building will follow the same green principles and will be connected to the central garden.

Filigree is now bringing its luxury living experience outside Metro Manila with the Golf Ridge Private Estate in the Leisure City of Filinvest Mimosa+ in Clark, Pampanga. The low density condominium will rise on a carefully and deliberately chosen location with a vibrant, well-maintained, green, and tranquil environment.

As the name suggests, Golf Ridge has the unobstructed view of the Mimosa Golf Course for its main attraction. Exemplifying green living with its backdrop of greens, estate parks and open spaces, residents can enjoy a serene environment that seamlessly blends residential areas and premier hotels with retail and recreation.

With all of these impressive projects in the pipeline, Filigree is looking forward to a productive and successful year, as it hopes to get discerning clients to experience its version of high living that is at par with the world's best.
