Sam Tsui and Kurt Hugo Schneider, the YouTube singing sensations visited Manila for their first ever concert in the country on Wednesday and Thursday nights of June 25 & 26, 2014 in SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Arena.
Fans and supporters of the duo filled the place as the tandem serenaded them with their music! While rain is pouring down outside the venue, the heartthrobs were taking the country by storm at the same time!
Prior to their concert, the duo had their grand press conference in the Eclipse Lounge of Solaire Resort and Casino, Monday afternoon of June 23 where they answered the questions from the media and bloggers present in the event.
As part of their YouTube stardom, Sam Tsui and Kurt Hugo Schneider as duo, have touched thousands of people through their collaborative covers of hits by Adele, Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars and Katy Perry. They're also noted for their creative mash-ups and medleys; most notably the Michael Jackson Medley.
Sam has been hailed as an internet singing sensation, along with his production partner Kurt was among the first musicians to establish a hugely popular music-focused channel on YouTube. His unique take on each song garners millions of views that make each cover a hit on its own. To date, his videos have amassed over 500 million hits on YouTube alone and in 2013, debuted his original album "Make It Up."
On the other hand, Kurt is a songwriter, director and producer of films, music, videos, and recordings. He has over four million YouTube subscribers, 25 million monthly views, 800+ million total views, and over 150 videos on his YouTube channel KurtHugoSchneider. Kurt is the vman behind the production of most of Sam's music and videos, and also known for collaborating with other YouTube stars and musicians.
Together, Sam and Kurt make the perfect partnership in which great music and exceptional video production combine well creating a sure-fire viral hit. Both artists have definitely made a name for themselves on the internet and are now being recognized in the mainstream having been featured in popular TV shows and commercials in the U.S.A.
