February 7, 2013, Manila, Philippines—For Spring/Summer 2013 in the Philippines, UNIQLO has revolutionized their bottoms collection. No longer the addition to a statement shirt or top, the trouser, skirt and shorts have been re-imagined, re-designed, and re-defined.

Both men’s and women’s collections have been expanded dramatically to offer new styles, prints, and nearly every color imaginable that are versatile, easy to style, and fashionable for all ages.

The women’s collection includes skinny and tapered floral printed, polka dot, and candy-colored denims; bright cropped and gingham pattern ultra soft leggings pants that fit perfectly; a brand new collection of flared cropped culottes and flared cropped shorts perfect for a statement minimalist look with a heel and understated top; and a brand new category of powder-soft denim that is woven with linen for an ever comfortable and chic summer look.

UNIQLO powder soft denim is made from ultra thin fibers treated with minute particles to smooth the otherwise rough finish of regular denim and break down the stiff fibers. The fabric is woven with 60% cotton and 40% linen.

The men’s collection features exciting new shorts embroidered with nautical emblems, extravagant paisley, madras, and polka dot prints, and 20 different colors of chino shorts; herbal and gelato ultra-thin slim fit chinos in lemon, mint, raspberry and cornflower; and powder-soft denim in acid washes.

Ready for the brighter months, UNIQLO bottoms offer a fun and playful start to the season.
