Kris Lawrence Compares Korea's K-Pop to Pinoy's Kundiman

R&B Prince Kris Lawrence gave his insights on why the Korean music or popularly known as the K-Pop music is a huge hit among Filipinos.

During the pocket interview of Kris for the launch of his new album "Spread the Love,"  the singer said that K-Pop is hit because Koreans were intact, they have a strong base in the country. They have lots of fans around the world. Therefore even if we didn't understand the lyrics, we can still dance and feel their rhythm.

Kris even compare our very own Pinoy Kundiman to K-Pop. According to him, each culture has its own distinction. "'Ung sa kanila medyo jazz na pop while 'ung sa'tin is more on romantic melo,"  he added.

Kris also gave his though regarding competition with co-R&B singer Sam Concepcion. "We're good friends with Sam. Actually sabay kami niyang nasa singing competition nuon. Ako sa Star in a Million while Sam on Little Big Star

"Spread the Love" is actually the third album of Kris. But it's his first under GMA Records. The album contains 12 tracks which include the song "Ikaw Pala" which is used as the theme song of the GMA Telebabad's Korean series "The Innocent Man."   

Also part of the album are the other songs namely "Rider" (ft. Q-York), "Yesterday" (ft. Bryan Woodart of IV Example), "Unbreakable" (ft. Rachelle Ann Go), "Nightmare (ft. Elmo Magallona), and "Tell Me."
