Raffy also announced the appointment of
Carousell Philippines’ new Head of Cars, Karl Magsuci. Karl has more
than 17 years of management experience in marketing, brand and product
strategy. He has worked with top brands including Honda Cars
Philippines, Inc., Ramcar Group (Motolite Battery) and BMW Philippines.
Karl will manage a team of 25 in the Car business units and lead the
strategic planning for the company.
“With the rapid growth of
Carousell in the Philippines, we have seen a real need to expand our
platform to offer high-value verticals such as properties and
automobiles. With the addition of Karl in our team, I am confident that
our automobiles business unit will lead in the online classified space.”
Raffy continued.
The company also presented its newly
redesigned Carousell app. The updated app has a new look-and-feel that
pushes user-generated content to the foreground. The interface has been
made cleaner and simpler to put the spotlight on what matters the most:
people, their items and their stories. Carousell users can also expect
better discoverability with new vibrant category icons within the app.

visual identity refresh signifies the brand’s progression and growth,
