Being one of the newest mall in The Fort, many people are interested to go to SM Aura.

On the controversial issue SM has encountered with BCDA, it was cleared that SM didn't violated the law.

Since SM Aura Premier opened this May it become an interesting venue for the arts and culture.

The presence of international screen, stage actress and style icon Sarah Jessica Parker at the launching of the mall’s SM Store added great Hype.

Sarah Parker, who played Carrie Bradshaw on the HBO television series Sex and the City (1998-2004), has won four Golden Globe Awards, three Screen Actors Guild Awards, and two Emmy Awards. She served as a producer and reprised her role in the screen adaptation of the hit series, with the theatrical release of Sex and the City and Sex and the City 2.

Other features

It includes the SkyPark, a multi-level green roof which apart from its environmental advantages, also provides a much needed green and communal space in Metro Manila’s dense cityscape.

Church and Function Hall

It is not just a new mall but a state-of-the-art civic center.

A fresco bars & restaurants, sculpture and botanical gardens, a 1,000-seat performance hall called Samsung Hall and the 250-seat Chapel of San Pedro Calungsod. SM Prime won the project bid by Taguig legally.

The property is not only intended for a mall (SM Aura), but it will be a state-of-the-art civic center. BCDA cannot put restrictions on what Taguig / SM can do with the property.

Not pure mall

The SM Store and SM Supermarket, SMX Convention Center, Food on Four, 2 regular Cinemas, 2 Director’s Club facilities and an IMAX Theater.

Designed by Miami-based architectural firm Arquitectonica. It’s a commuter friendly place Just one ride away from Ayala, SM Aura Premier is a shopping mall located along McKinley Parkway and C5 Road cor. 26th St., Bonifacio Global City, Metro Manila, Philippines, The dispute over the new SM Aura in Taguig City between the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) and Taguig-SM is becoming clearer.

Inquirer has an article about what really happened:

The BCDA and Taguig City agreed to swap parcels of land. In exchange for the parcel encroached on by the cemetery, the BCDA gave several parcels of land in Fort Bonifacio to Taguig.

The compromise was formalized in two memorandums of agreement (MOAs) signed on Oct. 21, 1999 and Feb. 11, 2004.

  1. I think BCDA realized that it was worth more than they realized and now they want it back but how the contract has been signed.

  2. BCDA cannot complain anymore considering that this is not just a mall but a mixed use complex or as many had said that it is a state of the art civic center.

  3. BCDA knows what they are doing. It is so clear, very clear what has been stipulated in the deed of conveyance signed by BCDA to give the Taguig government the freewill to do whatever they want. BCDA has no control anymore of the title of the land, leased by SMPHI for SM Aura Premier.
