Apl.De.Ap and Red Ribbon Launch "In Tune for Education: Macaroons For A Cause"

 Red Ribbon, the leading bakeshop in the country and the International Singing Sensation Apl.De.Ap together with Franklin Baker Company launched "In Tune for Education: The Macaroons for a Cause" project that will help to bridge the gap in education in the country.  

The event took place in the Teatrino Music Hall in Greenhills, San Juan, July 4, 2013. It was delegated by the members of the press from the different media arm ans of the selected lifestyle and entertainment bloggers. Prominent media personalities present in the event who did exclusive interviews for Apl.De.Ap were MJ Felipe and Ginger Conejeros. The RX 93.1's DJ, Delamar hosted the event.

Macaroons for a Cause aims to build public schools in the Philippines by donating 14% or P7 for each pack sold to the Apl.de.Ap Foundation. Each Macaroons for a Cause pack contains 10 pieces of macaroons and sells for P50 at all Red Ribbon Bakeshops nationwide. The group needs to sell 4.2 million packs in order to build the first school of the foundation

Allan Pineda of Angeles City, Pampanga, more popularly known as apl.de.ap of the world-famous pop sensation The Black Eyed Peas, knows from his own experience that education is the only ticket to a better life. "I just wanted to have an education--to have a better life. In every Filipino family, the children want to help their parents--that was my goal," he shares.




After the inspiring messages from the people behind the project, Apl.De.Apl song three of his signature songs. These are We Can Be Anything (An education campaign song), Where Is The Love, and Bebot.

Delamar closed the event with the Macaroons for a Cause countdown which will be displayed at all Red Ribbon branches. And of course, each delegate posted their own pledge on the wall!
